![]() This year, AAA Flag & Banner produced printed graphics for Major League Baseball’s 2007 All-Star Game in San Francisco. While many people are wrapping toys and clothes as gifts for the holiday season, AAA Flag & Banner Manufacturing Co. is wrapping buildings, owner Craig Furst says. Several clients, such as Tiffany’s in Los Angeles and the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce, have asked the company to create a festive look by wrapping their building with giant ribbons and bows. The company also manufactures the giant bows seen in holiday Lexus commercials, he adds. “It is a usual project to do in the holiday season,” he says. AAA Flag & Banner, based in Los Angeles, provides state-of-the-art printing technologies, methods and services, including:
The company makes point-of-purchase displays, in-store graphics, vehicles graphics, billboards and banners for events such as the Olympics, Super Bowl, World Cup, Indianapolis 500, the Academy Awards, and 10 college bowl games. It also works with retailers ranging from Louis Vuitton to Wal-Mart, as well as museums and trade shows. Big Leagues The company says it used state-of-the-art computer printing technology to produce the vinyl, decal and fabric signage. “We’ve worked with several teams, but this was the largest project directly with [Major League Baseball],” he says. “It is a high-profile event that was seen around the world.” Portraits of Hope It is working on a public art exhibit with Portraits of Hope, a nonprofit creative therapy program for children. AAA is decorating the hoods and trunks of 13,000 cabs in New York City with graphics of flowers. “It looks like there are garden boxes driving up and down the street,” Furst explains. The project, called Garden in Transit, coincides with the 100th anniversary of the motorized taxicab. The company used eight different designs for the cabs. “It is a high-profile project,” he says. “We’ve worked on several different projects for Portraits of Hope.” Upcoming projects include this year’s several bowl games, NHL All-Star game and the 2008 Academy Awards. All of the company’s work is completed in-house, which allows for full control over quality and timely delivery. “We employ the latest technology in color-matching and digital proofing, while calibrating with our digital department which allows for consistent products between different print processes,” the company says. “This unique ability allows [customers] to maintain accurate color reproduction throughout our full range of printing capabilities.” The company also provides installation services. “Our fleet of specially designed installation trucks and professionally trained crews can handle any installation job.” |
