![]() Parkson's advanced treatment solutions have reinforced its position as a water and wastewater treatment technology leader. Parkson Corp. believes clean water is a basic human right that should be accessible to people around the world. A leading components and systems supplier for more than 40 years for potable water, process water, and industrial and municipal wastewater treatment applications, the company recently made leadership changes to position itself for continued expansion into global markets. “As we look to Parkson’s future, we recognize that sustaining the pace of growth and development achieved historically requires the company to continue investing in new ideas, new capabilities and new resources,” states Michael Milligan, CEO of Axel Johnson Inc., Parkson’s parent company since 1967. President and CEO Zain Mahmood joined Parkson in September 2007 to oversee its growth. With a background working for companies such as Johns Manville, ABB and Allied Signal, Mahmood has built a reputation for growing businesses. “I was brought in to take Parkson to the next level,” he says. Management changes have added progressive leaders from world-class organizations, bringing years of experience in global strategic sourcing, operations, service, new business start-up and business development. Additionally, “existing highly skilled and talented individuals already on the team continue to drive Parkson’s growth,” Mahmood says. “Parkson has more than 2,500 years of cumulative water and wastewater experience,” he notes. “We have 170 people with an average of 15 years’ experience each, with vast knowledge that allows Parkson to synergistically grow the company and focus on the company’s expanding global presence. “It’s an exciting time to be a part of the phenomenal growth of Parkson.” Parkson is building on its core in North America, its traditional market, but is also building a presence in Latin America, the Middle East, India and China. “Urbanization and energy are the two big megatrends worldwide that will drive trends in the water industry in the future,” Mahmood says. “These new emerging markets are good places to enhance our footprint and provide solutions with long-term lower cost of operation. “Parkson is a partnership-oriented company,” he adds. “We are a knowledge based company with a robust supply chain of over 300 partners. We supply customers … wherever the need arises.” The company employs 170 people with major offices in Fort Lauderdale and Chicago, and satellite offices in Montreal, Sao Paulo and Dubai. It also has partnerships in India and China. From the early introduction of such renowned products as Lamella Gravity Settlers, DynaSand Filters, Aqua Guard Screens and Biolac Wastewater Treatment Systems, Parkson has continued to evolve. The recent introduction of three advanced treatment solutions has reinforced Parkson’s position as the preferred global partner for advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions, Mahmood says. “Parkson has more than 10,000 installations worldwide, and we’re ready for the next 10,000,” Mahmood says. “We are very excited about the future. Our parent company, Axel Johnson Inc., is committed to clean water and investment in the future. “Parkson is poised in an exciting and growing global space of water recycling and treatment and has a remarkable portfolio of products and services that can benefit the world for generations to come,” he adds. “We are the preferred global partner for advanced water and wastewater treatment solutions.” |
