Famous for developing Halo, the world’s first and only hybrid fractional laser that restores the skin’s youthful glow, Sciton introduced a new product line this summer.

Sailfish Boats may have started small in 1986 as a builder of saltwater fishing boats, but over the years it has expanded as company’s reputation for quality grew. In the early 2000s when people started moving away from owning multiple boats, Sailfish took the quality principles for which it is known and diversified its line to Fishing Focused/Family Friendly Boats so that customers could get more from a single boat.

Customization and reliability have kept Convergent Photonics thriving with its industrial lasers.

Convergent Photonics manufactures three types of lasers for industrial purposes: CO2, Nd:YAG and fiber. The lasers are used in the automotive, aerospace, transportation and energy sectors.

There is quite a bit of competition in the industrial laser field, Operations Manager Michele Ronco notes. “Especially now with the fiber laser,” he says. “The technology has become widely accessible to more competitors, especially overseas. There is a big stress on price and performance.”

The Horseheads, N.Y.-based company not only can design and manufacture the equipment for its customers, “We can test it as well and beyond that, we can even install it, if necessary,” he continues. “That has set us apart.”
